So let's talk football, shall we? I'm lovin' the Bills season this year. Granted, I have yet to watch a single game this year, but the games look exciting on the Sportscenter highlights. I'm still bummed that blew the Jets game, but to focus on that would be missing the HUGE strides they have made. I was never sold on Bledsoe in New England, and would constantly diss on him. Of course, now I think he's the bomb. He's been downright sick. At the beginning of the season, I said with their schedule, a .500 season would be a great season. 2 down, 6 to go.

I could get started on the Irish of Notre Dame, but I don't want to jinx it. What I WILL that about is Stanford. The Cardinal? Please.

This weekend is Sweet Lou's bachelor party! I can't believe I'm missing a trip to the ballet. It's funny because we used to do it when we 18 and 12 years later, it still holds the same appeal. I'll be here in DC celebrating Jenny's 28th birthday so I can't make the trip up north. I do wish the boys well though. I'm tempted to recount some of the happenings of our past trips, but such a public forum probably isn't the best place. Damn those were good times.

Finally, we discuss fanny packs. When I posed the question, "Is the fanny pack EVER a good idea?", I didn't actaully expect a reply. You know, it was a raptorial question. Well, Lou decided to answer it, and not only that, answer it correctly. His answer is as follows:

"Only if your a drug dealer over 6 feet 3, 220 lbs., it's summer time before the advent of cargo shorts, and the pack contains at least the following items:
one hacky sack
one bottle eye drops
one quarter ounce cheeba
one glass pipe
one pack Marlboro Reds
Up to 4 lighters.
$200 Cash

That's the only time a fanny pack can be considered a good idea."

I would also have accepted Kool smokes instead of Reds and up to 5 lighters. Now I ask you, what the key part of the answer? Most people would say it's the hacky sack, but it's "before the advent of cargo shorts" dammit! He's right! The fanny pack is only good if you get in a friggin' time machine. Why the bitterness against fanny packs you wonder? If you have to ask that, you probably think pants are harmless.

Is anyone else giving thought to Halloween yet? I have no idea what I'm going to be, but I'm pretty sure it's going to involved a dickie somehow. Okay, now this gets me off on another rant. If forced to choose between wearing a half shirt or a dickie, which would you wear? Imagine you have to wear it the whole day. The reason I bring it up is my friend has this sweet pad up in New York and Macaulay Culkin lives in the same building. Whenever Rick sees MC, he's always looking like a complete freak. Once he had a mohawk and was wearing a bright yellow half shirt. That's right a half shirt.
