In case you haven't heard, I resigned my position at work. Let me answer the most frequent questions I've been getting:
- No, I did not get another job. I’m going solo.
- No, I'm not moving to Philly and becoming a Sixer fan. However, I was willing to leave DC, if I got the word.
- Yes, the pants required policy did play a role. I gotta be free.
I thinks Lou, my wisest and most “experimental” friend, said it best: “Congratulations on quitting your job. Smart move. This way, you're not encumbered with things like unemployment benefits or a severance package”.
Basically, the plan is take some time off, spend QT with Jenny, and do some consulting work.
In other news, Par is a punk. Then again, that’s really not news is it?
I went to see the Dismemberment Plan again on Saturday night. They have a Christmas tradition of playing back-to-back shows at the Black Cat. It’s always an occasion to release stress caused by too much time with the family. It was a great show, especially the encore when Ms. Spice, she of the skintight velvet pantsuit, sang with the Plan. If you’re into funk/go-go, check out Ms. Spice & the Malenium Band.
Fear The Pants
My little daily diatribe.
