Ah....martial bliss.

Wishing for another 4 years of W!

Speaking of Sarah's birthday, we had a party for her at the Embassy Sweets before she and Christian left for Paris. Joy Stephenson was nice enough to forward these pictures of our favorite Republican couple. Uh, oh. I feel a liberal rant against the war on Iraq coming on....just kidding.

Monday I am going to work for USA Today, thanks to Michele Hatty. I'm really looking forward to new work and plan to make myself at home immediately, even though I'm only there for three days. I think I'll borrow John's digital camera so I can chronicle my life as a temp. I mean, what could be more exciting than that?!

Christian Wright...almost French

I received an email from our good buddy Christian Wright the other day. He included this picture from his trip to Paris. He and Sarah went there to celebrate her birthday. So nice! This year I will be celebrating my birthday with a trip to Anacostia, the Paris of the Mid-Atlantic.

Ah, my much neglected blog. A lot of people have been asking what the deal is. If I'm not employed, why am I not updating my blog more often? Valid point. I'd like to blame it on pants, or the French, or even French pants, but I can't.

Life without a job is good so far. I busy setting up my home office, getting more involved at Byte Back, hustling consulting jobs, and studying my Java books. It's true what they say about daytime TV - it's horrible, thankfully. I do admit getting sucked into the Rick James "Behind the Music" the other day though. C'mon! He's the king of funk and he's from Buffalo, NY!! He's the MAN! (outside of the whole burning people with his crack pipe and all)

Check this out: My brother Mike and his son, Caden William. Caden surprised his parents with his arrival on December 30th at 4:44pm, weighing in at 4lbs. 8 oz. and 18 in. long. He was about 6 weeks early, but is in great health. Mike, Kristin and Caden are back at home in New Hampshire and all are doing well.
